About
How it works
What you can find here
For sale. Software sold as a purchase or subscription through the maker's own checkout. The buy button opens the maker's checkout, and you pay the maker directly.
Templates. Smaller software builds for specific tasks. Each listing explains the problem it addresses, what it does, and which features of the subscription app it leaves out. The price reads Ask until one is agreed.
Wanted. Apps people want alternatives to. Each line shows an app name and the number of Trade Up submissions that agreed to have it counted. Full app lists, costs, businesses and contact details are not shown.
Trade Up. List your apps, how you use them and any monthly costs you know. Your free Trade-Up Sheet shows monthly and annual totals from those amounts, suggested next steps and matching listings, if available. We review the sheet before emailing its private link. List your apps.
Who pays what
- Makers keep their own checkout. Buyers pay makers directly. Nothing here handles a payment.
- Listing is free.
- The rate is agreed with the maker after the first sale and applies from the second. Each listing has a link for its maker to report a sale.
- The Trade-Up Sheet is free. If the review finds no matching listing, it suggests a free 15-minute call, and after that AFP's paid Profit Leak Sit-Down.
Numbers on cards
A number on a card, such as how many were sold, is the maker's own count with its date, and it is labeled self-reported. Cards show no badges.
The pad
Some makers arrive from the studio's Launch or Leave pad. Their cards show the week they launched and their streak, read from the studio's public board.
List something you made
Anyone can list a product. It stays a draft until one person reviews and approves it for publication.
